Red Herring’s® History
Red Herring® began in 1985 when the founder’s wife held a mystery event at her bookstore. That talented IT guy found his calling. Red Herring® murder mystery game and roleplaying events were an instant hit. Red Herring® has since brought mystery game entertainment to audiences and clients from all over the country and the globe. It regularly serves the entertainment and group game needs of world-renowned tourist attractions, five-star hotels, and large corporate clients. With so many offerings, Red Herring® decided it was time to reorganize to more efficiently manage its many product offerings. Thus, related company Red Herring® Mysteries, LLC, was born.
While Red Herring® Productions, Inc., continues to offer murder mystery live performances and bed-and-breakfast weekends within the State of Colorado and beyond, Red Herring® Mysteries, LLC, is focused primarily on party, online, and hybrid game offerings.
Owner
The principal owner of Red Herring Mysteries, LLC, is known as CoLa by Red Herring® actors. She is an award-winning historical writer, dancer, constant animal rescuer, musician, painter, and overall creator, with graduate degrees in law, management, and marketing. She also volunteers for a nonprofit arts festival and a startup ecotechnology company.
